Wisdom House
Wisdom House is organized, administered, and staffed with qualified educational administrators and instructors, all of whom are professing Christians. Courses are fee-based, with the facilities and financial administration of the program being provided by Gladeville Baptist Church. The program provides a rotation of four courses of study: values development, personal development, recreational development, and technological development.
Elementary and Middle School students meet Tuesday afternoons from 4 - 6 pm. Fifteen meetings will occur each semester.
High School students meet every other Saturday from 10 am to noon and will use an internet based discussion blog when not meeting face to face.
Through life direction training, mentoring, academic enrichment, remedial study, positive and productive leisure-time activities, and technological skill development, Wisdom House leads students to:
- Obtain personal guidance in determining their life purpose.
- Develop a clear sense of direction and ability to use their public and private educational resources to prepare for and fulfill their unique role in the world.
- Understand and embrace a comprehensive Christian worldview.
- Mature in God’s purposes for worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and witness as core values and goals for their lives.
- Expand their personal competencies and use their God-given gifts.
- Develop their physical, mental, and spiritual lives.
- Be prepared to immediately and positively influence the lives of other people.
- Achieve excellence in both academic studies and life development.
- Learn that personal fulfillment is the result of giving themselves in service.
