Preschool Ministry

In the Bible, we are told to “train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Gladeville supports and encourages parents in nurturing and instructing their children in the Lord. Our purpose is to reach preschoolers and their families for Jesus Christ, build a caring relationship with them, and provide them with a strong spiritual foundation so they can grow into mature followers of Christ.

Child Safety & Security
Security for your child is a top priority at GBC. Children especially need to feel secure and loved in their environment. We have a security system in place anytime preschoolers are participating in church activities. Parents are also welcome to check in on their little ones at any time during a session (we ask you do so discreetly, however, so as not to disrupt). Silent pagers are also available upon request.

Sunday Morning Connect Groups (8 a.m. & 9:15 a.m.)
Ongoing Sunday morning connect groups are provided for babies through kindergarten, where caring relationships are formed with loving adults, and a strong spiritual foundation is laid. Loving childcare/teaching is also provided during the 10:45 a.m. worship service for babies through age 2. At 10:45 a.m. we offer Wee Worship for children ages 3 through kindergarten.

Wee Worship (Sunday mornings 10:45) for ages 3-Kindergarten
Wee Worship lets preschoolers worship like preschoolers. Wee Worship will bring Bible stories to life and bring the day’s Bible truth home in ways preschoolers will understand. We sing songs that have motions to lift hearts and hands to God.

KidsQuest (Wednesday Nights)
KidsQuest is designed to take preschoolers through the Bible, starting in the beginning of the Old Testament and finishing at the end of the New Testament.  This program teaches preschoolers spiritual habits that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Summer Nights for Kids (our version of VBS)
Summer Nights for Kids (SNFK) is open to all children birth through 5th grade and takes place in June.

Preschool Day Camp
Preschoolers ages 3 to those who have completed kindergarten. This camp is packed with Bible stories, crafts, and worship. This week long 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. camp takes place in July.

Kids Night Out
Kids Night Out is an activity-filled evening for children birth through fifth graders. Activities include crafts, pizza, recreation and a movie. These are scheduled in March, September and December.

Weekday Education
Our Weekday Education Ministry provides parents with some personal time while offering preschoolers (12 months through pre-kindergarten/5-year olds) a quality Bible-based learning experience.  The school year is mid-August through mid-May. The Wilson County school calendar is followed for breaks and holidays. Different class options available. Hours 9:00AM to 2:00PM.
