Children’s Ministry

Children are precious to us, as they are to Christ. As ministers of Christ’s love, our prayer is that we may serve you and your family.

Our children’s ministry at GBC exists to share Christ with the children of our community, team them with other Christians, advance them in their spiritual maturity, help them to recognize their spiritual gifts and to surrender their lives to God.

Child Safety & Security
Security for your child is a top priority at GBC. Children especially need to feel secure and loved in their environment. We have a security system in place anytime children are participating in church activities. Parents are also welcome to check in on their children at any time during a session (we ask you do so discreetly, however, so as not to disrupt), and to volunteer to be a part of their children’s activities.

Sunday Morning Small Groups
Ongoing Sunday morning small groups are provided for Kindergarten through 5th grade, where caring relationships are formed with loving adults, and a strong spiritual foundation is laid.

Kidstuf
Let kids worship… like kids! Kidstuf is a God-focused, kid-friendly worship experience each Sunday at 11:00am for 1st-3rd graders. Kids worship God through music, life application videos, Bible stories, and cool arts and crafts which bring focus on the Creator! Kidstuf does not meet on the last Sunday of each month and encourages family worship on that Sunday.

LockerRoom (Wednesday Nights)
LockerRoom is a discipleship time for grade-school children where they explore the Bible through story, crafts, worship & games. Other groups are also offered on Wednesday nights including Bible Drill, Dance Ministry, & Sign Language.

Kids Nite Out
Kids Nite Out is an activity-filled evening for 6 months through fifth graders. Activities include crafts, pizza, recreation and a movie. These are scheduled in March, September and December.

Retreats/Camps/VBS
A fall retreat is held for children in 3rd-5th grade. Summer camp is held each June for 4th-5th graders. Day camp takes place in July for 1st-5th graders. Vacation Bible School (VBS) is open to all children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade and takes place in June.
