The Glade Church

Preschool

Our Preschool ministry exists to glorify God through the spiritual formation of individual preschoolers through the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We seek to do this by reaching these preschoolers and their families for Jesus Christ, building a caring relationship with them, and by providing them with a strong spiritual foundation.

COME/WORSHIP

Wee Worship (Sunday mornings 10:45) for ages 3-Kindergarten
Wee Worship lets preschoolers worship like preschoolers. Wee Worship will bring Bible stories to life and bring the day’s Bible truth home in ways preschoolers will understand. We sing songs that have motions to lift hearts and hands to God.

CONNECT/GROW

Sunday Morning Connect Groups (8 am & 9:15 am)
Ongoing Sunday morning connect groups are provided for babies through kindergarten, where caring relationships are formed with loving adults, and a strong spiritual foundation is laid. Loving childcare/teaching is also provided during the 10:45 am worship service for babies through age 2. At 10:45 am we offer Wee Worship for children ages 3 through kindergarten.

KidsQuest (Wednesday Nights)
KidsQuest is designed to take preschoolers through the Bible, starting in the beginning of the Old Testament and finishing at the end of the New Testament. This program teaches preschoolers spiritual habits that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Summer Jam
Summer Jam is open to all children 4 years old through 5th grade and takes place in June.

Preschool Day Camp
Preschoolers ages 3 to those who have completed kindergarten. This camp is packed with Bible stories, crafts, and worship. This week long 9 am - 3 pm camp takes place in mid-July.

Weekday Education
Our Weekday Education Ministry provides parents with some personal time while offering preschoolers (12 months through pre-kindergarten/5-year olds) a quality Bible-based learning experience. The school year is mid-August through mid-May. The Wilson County school calendar is followed for breaks and holidays. Different class options are available. Hours 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. For more information, please contact Tammy Hill at (615) 444-3595 or thill@gladevillechurch.org.

Child Safety & Security
Security for your child is a top priority at GBC. Children especially need to feel secure and loved in their environment. We have a security system in place anytime preschoolers are participating in church activities. Parents are also welcome to check in on their little ones at any time during a session (we ask you do so discreetly, however, so as not to disrupt). Silent pagers are available upon request.

Special Needs Strategy
Our commitment at the Glade Church is to serve children with special needs and their families with honor and integrity.  The end goal for children with special needs is no different than our end goal for typical children...being transformed more into Christ's likeness (see the Glade Church strategy).

To realize that goal with children who have special needs, we make the following commitments:
  • Caring and trained adult staff
  • Consistent peer models working alongside children with adult helpers
  • Honoring requests of families regarding inclusion/mainstreaming
We believe these components are critical for creating a successful environment for learning, spiritual development, and transformation in Jesus Christ for children with special needs.

Have a special needs child, but don’t know the next step?
