The Glade Church

Serve

Over 700 persons serve weekly in these ministry and missions teams. These teams serve on the church campus and away from the church campus.

On-campus teams include age-level workers, first impressions team members (including greeters, offering attendants, information desk workers, and parking-lot attendants), café workers, library workers, bookstore workers, worship leaders, and ordinance team members (baptism and Lord’s Supper).

Off-campus ministry and missions teams serve locally, nationally, and internationally. Locally, teams have worked together in many ways. Examples include: build homes for needy families, build handicap accessible ramps for the elderly and disabled, repair and renovate flood-damaged homes, renovate a playground and provide landscaping for an elementary school, serve in the Food Closet ministry, visit homebound members and persons in the hospital, and make hand-made quilts and cards.

Nationally, student and adult teams have made multiple trips to New Orleans to renovate flood-damaged homes and work in local public schools to provide recreation. Internationally, GBC has built a relationship with key leaders in Surco, Peru. Several adult teams have traveled to Surco to establish new church work, provide water purification support, and minister to children in local schools. The first high school student team traveled to Surco in the summer of 2010.
