How We Connect

We were never meant to be lone-ranger Christians.

God designed us to exist spiritually in the midst of community - connected with others who are on journey with God as well.

With the first baby steps of the early church in Acts 2, Christians began meeting together. They met in homes, shared what they had in order to meet the needs of others, committed themselves to the teachings of Jesus, worshiped together and shared life (Acts 2:42-47). At Gladeville our core purpose is spiritual transformation in the lives of individuals, families, our communities & our world. Part of this transformation happens as we CONNECT with others and GROW spiritually.

Our small groups provide opportunities for these kinds of relationships - growing together through Bible study, shared worship experiences, uplifting times of prayer & encouragement, ministry opportunities, and shared life. Some meet on Sunday mornings, others on Wednesday nights, and still others throughout the week. Some gather on-campus while others meet in homes. Some travel through a study together, others exist to spend time in prayer, and others meet to share a common interest or hobby. Diversity provides a place that helps you feel at home as you connect in community.

We offer two different types of group experiences: short-term and ongoing.

SHORT-TERM GROUPS
Short-term groups are usually organized around a particular study or a shared affinity/interest. They may meet for as short as a few weeks or as long as several months before ending. These groups are a good way to meet some new faces, get to know others, and ‘test the waters’ of group life before stepping into an ongoing group.

ONGOING GROUPS
Ongoing small groups meet on a regular basis for connection, community & growth. They might meet weekly, every other week, or at a different interval - the commonality is that they exist as a group of people who are committed to growing together. Ongoing groups provide a spiritual home for you.
